Forensic Nurse
Tara has been a RN for since 1997 with a strong background in emergency and trauma nursing. She spent 9 years as an Army Nurse and completed one tour in Iraq where she was awarded the Bronze Star for her leadership and knowledge of emergency medicine during her tour. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Bellarmine University and a Master’s of Science from the University of Colorado as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. She spent 13 years in a Level One trauma center caring for both adults and pediatric patients. Tara has reviewed many cases involving assault, domestic violence and complex medical conditions. She is currently active as a school health consultant in Colorado.
Tara is the proud mom of five kids and enjoys spending time with them, most days. They love the outdoor opportunities Colorado offers but most weekends you can find them in the gym watching and cheering one of kids on at volleyball, wrestling, basketball, jujitsu or at the soccer field.
