Forensic Nurse
Maggie Tempone is a Registered Nurse with experience in critical care, trauma, emergency, and forensic nursing. Her career started out on a respiratory focused IMC (intermediate care) unit where she was involved in patient care during the COVID-19 pandemic. Maggie then transitioned her nursing knowledge to the trauma specialty working at multiple leveled trauma centers in Virginia in both the emergency and critical care settings. She has gained additional experience in nursing education as well as forensic nursing. Maggie is a member of the American Nurses Association, Virginia Nurses Association, Emergency Nurses Association, Society of Trauma Nurses, American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, and Academy of Forensic Nursing. Maggie holds a compact nursing license through the Virginia Department of Health Professions. She is currently certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and the National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Maggie has received advanced certifications as a Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN), a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), a Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), and a Certified Burn Registered Nurse (CBRN).
