Forensic Nurse

Chenel Vanden Berk has been a registered nurse since 2011. She has dedicated her medical career to Forensic Nursing as a Nationally Certified Adult, Adolescent, and Pediatric Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) in an emergency room setting for over 13 years. Chenel is currently clinically active as a Forensic Nurse in Illinois.

Additionally, Chenel provides education throughout the United States on the National protocols, best practices and standards for conducting sexual assault and domestic violence exams on adults, adolescents and pediatric patients. She has lent her clinical expertise to a number of disciplines including: medical, law enforcement and child abuse teams on topics ranging from strangulation, pediatric sexual abuse and evidence collection. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University, DC and her Juris Doctor from Loyola University School of Law, Chicago.
