(Private) Child Forensic Interviews for CA State PDO
When there has been an allegation of child abuse, particularly sexual abuse, there are often no witnesses or physical evidence. For this reason, it’s important to get as much information as possible from the child. Forensic interview protocols have been developed using the research in the field and continue to be refined as new research is conducted. This presentation will provide an overview of the forensic interviewing process, including best practices, as well as signs that the
interview may have been conducted improperly or the child may have given inaccurate information.
