Elder abuse or neglect cases can be civil or criminal. In either one, the case may be relate to pressure ulcers and failure to turn the patient to prevent these wounds. In civil cases the case is built based on the standards of care and whether the staff in the hospital or nursing home was doing everything they could to prevent and/or treat the pressure ulcers. Other cases may involve slip and fall and whether the staff put safety measures in place to prevent the injuries from happening.

We can help sort through the medical records in these cases and determine how/if the patient’s medical conditions contributed to their condition and whether there were any breaches in the standards of care. We can also provide the literature needed to support your case, whether you represent the plaintiff or the defendant.
